James Dear,
I love when you are a nerd - I love when you are not (what a delicious pic!)

I love you when dress up 364 days a year so not to spook us all - I love you on that 1 day when you do not and let loose your "inner trekkie".

I love you as a human being - I love you as a werewolf.
[.....ooops I don't know if I were supposed to let out about the werewolf!]

I love you as am incarnate - I love you as a dis-incarnate (even though it's annoying when you jump out and go "boo" constantly).

So enjoy your one day of letting your true inner nerd-beast shine! And please try not to howl too loudly at the moon....

Love and calculus,

Amy

P.S. - Practical Spirituality is the spookiest, nerdiest book around written for those who have yet to discover their inner werewolf!

Practical Spirituality allows you tap into the superior spiritual connection that only truly expressing this powerful part of yourself can.

I highly recommend it and remember, you are a powerful werewolf just waiting for your full moon!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

My good friend psychic medium Robyn Z is a regular on the DJ Laz Pimp show! She loves the guys over at Power 96. Of course they have to be better behaved with Robz, she might read their minds on air!

Thanks for the entertainment and wonderful distraction! I highly recommend this interview for anyone who needs to laugh and experience some joy in the moment!

We're back in action!

Thanks to all of your thoughts and prayers this week. I am blessed to say that everyone in our office is safe and well, and we're back in action at James Ray International. As you can tell from the map, the burn area (red) didn't reach our neighborhood (our office is the blue pin).

There are still several thousand people out of their homes and over a billion (!) dollars in property damage, so please continue to send your thoughts this way as San Diego will be rebuilding for quite some time.

If you'd like to contribute to those affected by the fire, please check out these resources:

  • A toll-free hotline has been established by the governor's office for businesses interested in making large quantity donations. The number is 800-750-2858.
  • Individuals interested in donating items or volunteering to support relief efforts should contact the Red Cross at 800-733-2767.

Dear James,

First, I'd like to say that I am very grateful to hear that you and your wonderful team are all out of harm's way.

A line from your email has brought me to examine the wildfire situation from a new perspective. The line is: Everything is your responsibility and nothing is your fault. I, as many others have, found comfort in those words and, obviously, no one is at fault when a wildfire takes their home but it led me to examine the headlines more closely to understand how something like this can affect one person so much differently than another. For example, "In a neighborhood littered with charred, smoldering debris, the Rancho Bernardo home of Pepe and Carolina Galmes was relatively unscathed. That left them stunned, especially because the forest behind the home was destroyed." And then, there was the San Diego news reporter who had reported so many other people's homes burning down in his career (naturally, feeling their losses) and now he was watching his own home burn to the ground. So many times people experience the precise loss that they fear the most – be it cancer or wildfires.

Honestly, sometimes knowledge of the law of attraction makes me afraid to feel sympathy for anyone...my coworkers have urged me to watch the news, even though I don't watch TV, since I am in the process of moving to the Carlsbad/Oceanside area but I have refused fearing that putting my focus on something so horrible will weaken me.

James, did you tune in to watch this tragedy unfold?

With Love, Respect and Gratitude,

Rose

James and Your Team,
I am so pleased to hear that you are all back and safe!
My prayers and thoughts have been with you all.
I continue to pray for Your Team as well as Your Fellow Californian neighbors, as I am sure getting "reorganized, situated, etc" is the huge task on hand... as well as others with larger challenges due to these fires.
I was so moved to read your blog/e-mail that you sent out to everyone. It was full of direction and hope, and overall so heartfelt and giving to think of helping others while you were enduring your own difficulties because of the occurance. I am certain that you helped so many as I am sure they had feelings of confusion, frustration and despair.
I am so grateful that you have allowed God to work through you to help others. Thank you for sharing your innate skills as well as those you have diligently strived to attain through your work ... to literally the world.
Sincerely,
Margo

The Key to the Law of Attraction

Many people often question the Law of Attraction...

"Come on, does the Law of Attraction work or not?"
"Why does it seem to work sometimes but not all the time?"
"Why is there at least one stubborn problem in my life that just won't go away, even when I throw all the self-help methods at it?"

Maybe you're even asking the same...

My friend (and fellow costar of The Secret), Joe Vitale has a brand new book that addresses all of these questions and more. It's called The Key: The Missing Secret for Attracting Anything You Want.

This phenomenal book explains what Joe regards as the fundamental error in virtually all self-help programs...

In short:

  • Anything will work when you are in alignment with your goals.
  • Nothing will work until you get in alignment with your goals.

"Alignment" means your conscious and unconscious mind want the same thing.

Most people are not in alignment with what they say they want, so they end up blaming their lack of results on everything from the movie they watched, the book they read, the therapist they saw, the self-help program they tried and so on.

But the real problem isn't out there... it's inside and requires inner "clearing" work.

How do you get in alignment so you can have, do, or be virtually anything? How do you get your conscious intent and your unconscious counter-intent to agree? How do you "get clear" once and for all?

The Key is the missing secret to knowing how to consciously co-create circumstance...the final piece to the puzzle.

Get the book, as well as a bunch of free gifts, from this link: http://www.unlock-the-secret.com/

If you know you can achieve more but can't seem to make it happen, The Key reveals the psychological and unconscious limitations that are holding you back. It reveals ten proven ways to remedy this situation, aligning your conscious and unconscious beliefs once and for all.

I highly recommend you get your hands on a copy right away.

By the way, The Key is also available on audio, read by the man himself, Joe Vitale. Look for it on iTunes, Audible.com, Amazon.com or BN.com.

GOD BLESS YOU, James Ray.

You'll forgive my overwhelming enthusiasm. This is evidence (in case any was needed) that TRUTH, LOVE and - dare I write it - Nah.. But some know what I was about to.

You have promoted the work of what 'back in the old days' would have been viewed as a "competitor".

But - with new understanding comes new behavior. I commend you as much as another human can - God Bless you, James Ray (and I know it is happening as I write).

Yes, I'm reading Dr. Joe's book. Yes, I was in Atlanta for the weekend (and I recommend that any and everyone make one of these events).

The Fires of Southern California

Update: October 23, 2007, 5:04 PM
The evacuation order has been cleared for all of Carlsbad. The office will re-open tomorrow at 8:00 AM Pacific pending there are no further order changes. I'm grateful that my team and myself are all safe, and we're keeping those still under evacuation in our thoughts and prayers.

Update: October 23, 2007, 10:05 AM
For those of you in the areas affected by the fire, here are the best resources we've found for staying up-to-date without all the hype:

October 22, 2007
4:45 PM

Friends,

At the time of writing, my home and office have been evacuated due to the fires raging in the San Diego area, and the James Ray International office will be closed until it's deemed safe to return by the authorities. The website will continue operate, and I'll post updates there as they are needed.

These are the worst fires in California history, and San Diego County's been declared in a state of emergency.

Regardless of where you reside right now, I encourage you to take heart and realize that pain is a signal to grow instead of suffer. Yes, difficulties will come in life... And don't get me wrong, the thought of boxing up a few valuables from my home is as unattractive to me as it is to anyone.

Regardless, it's in the times of apparent challenge that we test who we really are. The Law of Attraction, which is so popular right now, states that you'll attract who and what you are into your life. This doesn't mean that we should blame ourselves for the fires raging like so many in the media have misinterpreted. Rather everything is your responsibility and nothing is your fault.

Please read that again.

If you dissect the word (response-ability), you find it really means "the ability to respond." How we choose our responses is what we'll continue to attract, create and become. To think that your life will be challenge free is illusion. Challenges are the way we test how much we have or have not developed our ability to respond.

I encourage you to take heart. Realize that in every challenge there is a gift. That's why in the esoteric traditions the Philosopher's Stone (another term for enlightenment) is always found in a pile of dung. Likewise, in Buddhism the thousand-petal lotus of enlightenment always grows from the muck and mire. Is there a metaphor here? Yes, there obviously is.

The Christian prophet stated to, "Judge not by appearances." I encourage you in all situations in life to not to see them as a blessing or a curse. Rather, see them as an opportunity to test your level of ability to respond. To go "three for three." Think, feel and act in accordance with what you choose versus appearances.

Ask the questions: "What does this teach me about me? What can I learn about me and the world from this situation? How can I use this situation to grow and become more?"

  • Maybe it causes you to take and inventory of what's truly important in your life...
  • Maybe it connects you more deeply with your family...
  • It could cause you to open your heart and realize the power of helping your neighbor...
  • Or maybe it allows you to notice how your response is more empowered than in past situations...

When you find the goodness and gifts in all life's situations, even the most difficult, the universe guarantees more goodness and gifts.

In the meantime, in case you're wondering, we're all in good hands and spirits here at James Ray International and we're available for service in our community.

For more information on how you can help those affected by the fires, please visit the San Diego Red Cross website.

To your continued harmony and fulfillment,

James Arthur Ray

I know that the fires seem devastating. My heart and support goes out to all affected by this. But on the horizon I see the rebuilding of California, with prosperity and abundance for all concerned. These fires may have saved the California Real Estate Market in way we cannot fathom yet. California has overcome major earthquakes and fires and devastation in the past and most have prospered from rebuilding. This may be the answer to prayers, but in a way that does not look the way we thought it would. I see good coming from this, in the end. This is an opportunity to live what we teach.
Hang in there, the silver lining is about to be revealed.

I know we are connected and One, so might there be something you can do about this thick smoke smell that keeps coming into my awareness even though I'm across the country? (There is no smoke here I've checked and re-checked!) Perhaps a fan? ;-)

Be safe! I love you!

Only the whole person is a holy person

Only the whole person is a holy person.

James Ray International

In the East, many have condemned the body or the physical world saying that matter doesn't matter. Likewise, traditional religion in the West has suppressed the sensual world, often calling material and physical pleasures carnal and sinful.

However in the secular West, we've often made matter all that matters, worshiping on the altar of the physical body and its toys and trinkets.

I submit to you that "poor" is a state of mind, heart and soul, and not just a financial state. Just like true Harmonic Wealth is so much more than what's in your wallet. And I've got news for you... While I can't say that every person who's rich is spiritual, I can assure you that those who are poor are not spiritual!

Reread that last paragraph and be sure you understand this new definition of "poor."

So many religions of the East and fundamentalists of the West want to condemn society at large for chasing after illusion, for being caught up in the materialistic mind. I can agree with that on one level... but there's more to the equation.

I'm tired of the individuals that are so "spiritual" and yet they are always sick and broke!

This is NOT spirituality. Jesus wore a seamless robe (the most expensive garment of his day), had a treasurer (so he must have had some money) and, to my knowledge, was never documented as being physically sick.

The reason that many remain poor is because they've denied the physical world. You are a spiritual being having a PHYSICAL experience (remember that... Chardin had it right). Therefore, I guarantee that your Creative Source did not send you here to suffer and deny the physical experience. That makes no sense at all.

Both of these arguments are only half right, which means that neither are playing with a full deck.

No person who is half can be whole, and no person that is not whole can be holy.

Your goal must be to be truly whole: wealthy in body, health, relationships, finances, meditation, science and spirituality. The student can sample fine wine, food, clothing, art and music, dance on the beach and sing in the rain. And at the same time, the same student can enjoy the depth of consciousness and the heights of energy that belong to all the truly spiritual. The true student is a harmony of male and female energies, yin and yang, physical and spiritual.

The material minded are hollow. They have no eternal significance... only momentary, fleeting pleasure. Driven by the ego, this person finds him or herself constantly tiring of all accomplishments and acquisitions.

The insatiable thirst of the ego is driven by one motivation, and that motivation is "More!"

Conversely, the renouncing, reclusive and suppressive "spiritual student" is hollow as well... Missing the entire opportunity of the physical plane... Missing the joy, the beauty, the heights and the depths of the human experience... Longing to be elsewhere and often thinking that their reward lies in the next life. To these half men and women I ask, "Why do you think you are here?"

Every master I've ever studied or have had the privilege to meet have had a great sense of humor and experienced a tremendous amount of fun and joy!

Wisdom is being fully engaged in all of life and yet detached from outcome. Prediction and control are the domain of the ego and are both illusion. Live life to the fullest in all areas... This is your birthright.

To your continued wealth and happiness,

James Arthur Ray

James,
I like this "whole" idea! The humor, joy, and fun that you saw in those masters are also prerequisites for our own creativity.

Striving and pushing our minds and just using our bodies to carry our brains around in just doesn't work. That'll chase the muse off faster than anything. Body and spirit must work (and play) together in order to promote sustained creative output.

The Creative Source you mentioned will co-create with the "vessels" that have prepared themselves in a holistic way to be good stewards for the ideas.

James,

I find it interesting that you use this quote in your blog. Interesting because the concept of "More" seems to be a very vital part of your plan. Having attended a few of your events I find it interesting that there is no applause for those that come only to see you once and move forward into their journey in life, no quite the contrary. In fact, at both seminars I attended it was always about "More". "More" books to buy, more products to own, and especially "More" of James Ray.

At one such event I attended a person asked you, "When am I done with these seminars?" Your answer was....never. That certainly seems like "More" to me. Perhaps your ego needs a re-introduction to the idea of helping people in any way possible, not only if they sign up for your 4 pack series of seminars at the "More" pricing.

It seems apparent to me that when someone becomes a judge at a beauty contest because of the attention it might bring to them and when the supposed concept of what they are "teaching" is to create harmony in life based on spirit...they have significantly and inherently lost their way.

I guess there is nothing "More" to say.
