I love this interview. In fact, I love all of these interviews and have listened to them a few times, as well as recommending that my loved ones listen to them!

But, being grouped with Socrates and Springer in the same interview!?! hahahaha The irony. Will wonders never cease... ;-)

Although, when I consider these two quotes, I can certainly see the teachings of James in both:

Be as you wish to seem - Socrates

All of us, whether or not we're celebrities, every one ought to spend part of their life making someone else's life better - Springer

Personally however, I prefer the comparison to Socrates.

I would like to add some quotes from Aristotle that seem to flow with what I get from James:
- Change in all things is sweet.
- Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees the others.
- Dignity consists not in possessing honors, but in the consciousness that we deserve them.
- Happiness depends upon ourselves.

While there will always be similarities between people, I also think it is important to remember that all of us (including James) are unique and have different gifts to bring to the proverbial table. Use those gifts people! Mr. using-his-gifts-a-plenty Ray can show you how.

:) Love always, Jen

I'd like to acknowledge and thank Jen for posting this great comment! I especially appreciate the Aristotle quotes - great wisdom there!

Yes this interview was great - a bit funny at more than a few times for me at least, but powerful none the less.

And Jen I agree with you - ALL of us are unique and have amazing and magnificent gifts to bring to the world ... so let's get busy! :)

Much Love and Gratitude,

Amy

Aww! Shucks :)

Well, Amy, it's truly my pleasure and thank YOU for your beautiful message. It means a lot to me.

As Gandhi said, we must "be the change" that we want to see in the world. We must see and be the Peace that we want. We must see and be the Love that we so desperately seek. We must imagine and exhibit the Good that we are looking to find.

Keep shining Your Light, girl. You are powerful and appreciated.

XOXO Love always, Jen
